God’s Divine timing with CUFI Summit

Every Christians United for Israel Washington D.C. Summit is extraordinary, in part because they occur according to God’s Divine timing.

There has been a tremendous amount of activity targeting Israel in the Middle East since the early morning of October 7, and the last five days were no exception. As we opened this year’s Summit with the Daughters for Zion Prayer Conference, we prayed for the young victims of Hezbollah’s horrific attack on a soccer field in northern Israel that occurred on Saturday. And as we left Washington four days later, we learned of successful Israeli strikes against several top Iran-backed terrorists.

In the intervening days, we were both inspired and heartbroken by what we heard from our outstanding speakers at this year’s Summit.

On Sunday evening, attendees were inspired by Jewish and Christian students and encouraged by a powerful message from Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan.

“When we stand together as the people of the Book, Jews and Christians supporting the people of Israel, we are sending a clear message to our enemies: no power can stop us or break us for we have the shield of David, we have the staff of Moses.” – Ambassador Erdan

On Monday, attendees heard the heartrending stories of October 7 survivors and family members whose loved ones remain in Hamas captivity. They were also invigorated by several exceptional speakers, including Dr. Sheila Nazarian, Rabbi Aryeh Lightstone, Dr. Jonathan Schanzer, Gabriel Groisman, Dr. Miriam Adelson, Senator Lindsay Graham, and Israel’s Special Envoy for Trade and Innovation, Fleur Hassan-Nahoum.

It is only our friends that have reminded us that we are not alone. You have showed up for us in Israel, you have showed up for us around the world.” – Fleur Hassan-Nahoum

Before heading to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to meet with our elected officials, CUFI Summit attendees heard from Senator Joni Ernst, Malcolm Hoenlein, Morgan Ortagus, former spokesperson for the US State Department, and Sandra Hagee Parker, Chairwoman of the CUFI Action Fund.

During our Donor Dinner on Tuesday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed attendees via a pre-recorded message. They also enjoyed a Fireside Chat with Pastor Hagee and broadcast news analyst and political commentator Mark Levin, who emphasized that  “Christians United for Israel is a blessing from God. I hope you know how grateful we are and how we feel about you because the Jewish homeland is your homeland.” – Mark Levin

Because of your tireless efforts, unrelenting prayers, and faithful support, the 2024 CUFI Washington DC Summit was a tremendous success—in fact, it was the best ever—thank you!
