SFCC Celebrates Black History Month with multiple events in February

Santa Fe Community College Celebrates Black History Month with “Shades of Color” a series of four events throughout February, all taking place between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4 screening of “Blackdom” video, introduced by Steve Martinez, Ph.D. in the Jemez Rooms. Tuesday, Feb. 12 a conversation with Dr. Jamal Martin, Ph.D., MPH, B.A. on Contemporary Issues Facing People of Color in the Jemez Rooms. Tuesday, Feb. 19 a Black History Panel discussion with Steve Martinez, Ph.D. and guest panelist, George Geder in Board Room, room 223. Thursday, Feb. 28 entertainment celebrating the month in the Jemez Rooms. SFCC, 6401 Richards Ave. Sponsored by SFCC’s President’s Diversity Advisory Committee.
