SFPS to Host Bigger-than-Ever 2020 Innovation Expo

Santa Fe, NM: On Thursday, February 13, 2020Santa Fe Public Schools will host the 2020 Innovation EXPO: “Full STEAM Ahead.” The EXPO will showcase a collaborative effort across departments: Science, Technology, Exceptional Student Services, Math, Art, Sustainability Education, Community Engagement and Native American Student Services. The SFPS Innovation Expo will be a multi-faceted, inclusive community event. The EXPO will be moving to the Santa Fe Community Convention Center this year, in an effort to increase capacity.

During the Innovation EXPO visitors will experience a showcase of student projects which highlight the many creative and innovative teaching and learning practices that integrate technology through Computer Science, Project Based Learning, STEAM, and real-world problem solving challenges.

This community event, takes place from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm and will engage our students, parents and community in many STEAM (Science,Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities, interactive exhibits and speaker presentations. In addition, there will be multiple opportunities for community engagement with local business leaders, educators and students. Please note that the Award Ceremony for the competitive element of the Expo will begin at 7:30pm.
