Visiting Mora fell behind early but then piled on 20 runs

By Arnie Leshin
The final score here resembles a football game as Mora visited Pecos Thursday and emerged with a 27-14 domination in a non-district game.
It dropped the Panthers to 3-4 overall and advanced Mora to 6-1. There were runs scored in every inning with the exception of Pecos going scoreless in the bottom of the fourth. It tallied four times in the first and even led 4-3.
After three it was 9-7 Panthers, but Mora surged with five runs each in the fourth and fifth frames and a big 10 in the sixth. It was the third straight loss for Pecos and the fourth win in a row for Mora.
Presently, St. Michael’s is at 7-3 overall and Capital at 6-6. The Lady Horsemen have scored 103 times and yielded 88, while the Jaguars have tallied 98 and allowed 111.
