It’s Smokey Bear’s birthday! He’s always gone to interesting places for his birthday. This year, he was at the Rose Parade and he’ll be at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade too. In the past, he even went into space! His message has always been out of this world, after all. (Image courtesy of NASA) |

Monks Chip Away at Wildfire RiskBenedictine monks at Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastery answer many calls – the call to serve God and their faith, the call to their nightly vesper’s service and even the call to reduce wildfire risk in their community near the Gila National Forest in western New Mexico.
