Legislative Update and Two Exciting Events!

As the legislative session moves forward, new bills are being introduced and debated daily—some of which pose serious threats to our values, while others offer critical protections. Staying informed is essential, and we’re here to ensure you have the latest updates on the legislation that matters most. Below is an update on key legislation from this week. Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see two special initiatives happening right now!

ANTI-VALUES LEGISLATION

HB27 – Librarian Protection Act

This bill threatens to withdraw funding from librarians unless they agree to stock materials that may conflict with Christian and American values, promoting pro-LGBTQ+ and “woke” content.

SB258 – Human Sexuality Education – Action Link Coming Soon!

This bill undermines parental rights by imposing a state-directed sexual education curriculum in public schools. It mandates progressive ideologies on gender and sexuality while limiting parents’ ability to opt their children out. SB258 removes local control, disregards family values, and forces taxpayers to fund ideologically driven programs.

HB11 – Paid Family and Medical Leave Act

This bill imposes a significant tax increase on individuals and businesses, including churches and nonprofits. It mandates participation in a costly, government-run paid leave program, potentially hindering the operations of faith-based and small organizations.

PRO-VALUES LEGISLATION

HB185 – Protection of Women’s Sports Act – Action Link Coming Soon!

This act ensures fairness in competitive sports by maintaining biological gender designations, preventing biological males from competing in women’s sports.
