The Church & the Culture: Why Every Victory Counts

This week, we want to share an incredible pro-life victory that underscores what is possible when truth prevails—and how the Church can remain a bold voice in the public square.

The Biden administration’s unlawful reinterpretation of Section 1557 (a nondiscrimination provision in by the Affordable Care Act) attempted to force medical professionals and institutions to perform abortions and gender transition procedures—regardless of their convictions or religious beliefs.

But in a powerful reversal, President Trump’s administration has now rescinded that reinterpretation and restored critical conscience protections for faith-based hospitals, doctors, and clinics.

This is a huge win—not just for medical freedom or religious liberty, but for the dignity of life and the ability of Christian doctors and  institutions to operate according to biblical convictions. Let this serve as a reminder: your voice matters. The church’s presence in the public arena matters. When we stand, truth can still prevail.

Why the Church Should Care About Industry & Infrastructure

We’re also sharing an important message from Rep. Rod Montoya, who offers insight into another battle we witnessed this legislative session: coordinated attacks on New Mexico’s oil and gas industry.

Watch the video from Rep. Montoya here:

At first glance, energy policy may seem unrelated to ministry. But it’s all connected. When progressive leadership attacks vital industries in New Mexico, they don’t just hurt the economy—they weaken family livelihoods, inflate dependence on government programs, and compromise the integrity of elections through power and money consolidation.

This is why churches must remain engaged in every sphere of influence, not just spiritual ones. From education to energy to agriculture, our state’s infrastructure should reflect values that promote stewardship, freedom, and human flourishing.
