The High Holy Days begin soon

In just a few weeks, the shofar (an instrument made from a ram’s horn) will sound to usher in the most sacred season on the Jewish calendar: the High Holy Days, which begin with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and end 10 days later with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

For Jewish families around the world, these are the holiest, most cherished days of the year. A time to gather, to reflect, to seek forgiveness, and to begin again.

But for thousands of elderly Holocaust survivors and vulnerable families, this holy season can feel very different. They have no reliable food. No adequate warmth. Not even someone who remembers them.

All of God’s children deserve to observe these sacred days with dignity — and your monthly gift can help make that possible.
