2026 Heroes Banquet to Honor New Mexico’s Fallen First Responders

The 2026 Heroes Banquet is coming to Albuquerque on
Friday, September 18, 2026, bringing people from across New Mexico together
for an evening honoring first responders, veterans, and community heroes.

Hosted by the New Mexico Business Coalition, this year’s banquet will feature
Lt. Col. Allen West, former U.S. Congressman and decorated combat veteran,
as the keynote speaker.

The evening will include a special tribute to two New Mexico law enforcement officers
who were killed in the line of duty: Sgt. Michael Schlattman of the
Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and Sgt. Joseph Apodaca of the
Taos County Sheriff’s Office.

The banquet will also recognize a Veteran of the Year and celebrate military
members, first responders, and other community heroes from throughout the state.

A portion of the proceeds from the Heroes Banquet will help provide scholarships for the
children of fallen first responders.
