Ladies’ Fly Fishing Workshop

Over the summer and early fall, the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish has partnered with local chapters of Trout Unlimited to host in-person fly fishing sessions. Please check out the session newly scheduled for Albuquerque starting at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 21.

Learn to Fish

Have you always wanted to learn to fish, but don’t know where to start? Join us on Saturday, Oct. 28to learn trout and salmon identification, what bait to use, how to rig your fishing pole, what you need in your tackle box, basic knot tying and more.

ATV Safety Training

The Department and our partners offer ATV safety trainings across the state. We are excited to offer an ATV class in Chama for the first time on Saturday, Oct. 7. The classes all cover safety equipment and important riding techniques to keep you and your family safe.

All riders completing the course will earn their OHV safety permit and riders under 18 will receive a helmet and goggles.
