The media is invited to Glorieta Camps to learn more about a prescribed fire project planned for fall 2024. This collaborative prescribed fire project will provide wildfire protection to the camp property, structures, infrastructure, and surrounding communities.
Introducing fire back into a fire adapted ecosystem creates a more resilient, healthy, forest and can improve wildlife habitat.
This media event will provide opportunities to interview representatives from the Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF), Glorieta Camps, New Mexico Forestry Division, Forest Steward’s Guild, and Santa Fe County to learn more about this prescribed fire project.
